Bread Wheat Project

For the past few years we have been experimenting with different wheat varieties in order to investigate the feasibility of producing a bread quality wheat in our climate.

We have had some success, and have produced flour of good baking quality.  Development continues, trialling different wheat varieties and trying different methods of growing, harvesting, drying and cleaning the grain.

The wheat we grow is certified organic.
We have recently installed a small combination mill with Naxos stones and built-in flour bolter/sifter.

We have flour available now, for you to try and provide feedback on how your baking has turned out using 'Low Stanger Flour'.  Please get in touch for sample bags.
