Educational Access for Schools and other Groups
Looking for mini-beasts is a popular activity
We have been hosting educational visits to the farm for many years.
Most visits are from local primary schools, but we also host visits for gardening clubs and other adult groups, as well as for older children, and for home-schooled groups too.
Michelle is a qualified teacher, and is also CEVAS qualified. A Teacher's Information Pack is available (see link below).
For primary school children, we can tailor a visit to complement the current syllabus, for example healthy living, how plants grow, caring for the environment, using our senses.
A typical visit could last 2-3 hours, and include a range of activities - the orchard and market garden provide a safe, open environment for outdoor learning. We also have an indoor space for activities like seed sowing, and if the weather is unfavourable.
For further information, please contact Michelle (see contact page for details).
