Location

Low Stanger Farm is in the settlement of Stanger, about halfway between Cockermouth and Lorton in the Lorton Valley.
The Lorton Valley runs South from Cockermouth to Buttermere, and contains some of the finest landscapes in the Lake District, with contrasting views of mountain and lush farmland.  The three lakes of Crummock Water, Loweswater and Buttermere are just a few miles from Stanger, as is the extensive Whinlatter Forest Park.  Bassenthwaite and Keswick are also within easy reach.
